Privacy Policy

Cedar Agent ("Cedar") is a private automation assistant with a single user: its operator. It is not offered to the public and has no other users. This policy describes what data Cedar accesses and how that data is handled.
What Cedar accesses
With explicit authorization from its operator, and only against that one Google account, Cedar accesses:
- Gmail — reads messages, applies and removes labels, and sends mail, to triage that account's own inbox.
- Calendar — reads and writes events to prepare schedules and reminders.
- Drive, Sheets, and Docs — reads and writes that account's own files to maintain logs and notes.
- Contacts — read-only, to resolve names and addresses appearing in mail and calendar entries.
Cedar cannot and does not access any other person's account.
How data is handled
- Data is processed on hardware the operator owns and physically controls.
- Google user data is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party.
- Data is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine-learning model.
- Data is not used for advertising or profiling.
- No team, support staff, or vendor has access.
Cedar sends message content to third-party language-model APIs to interpret it. Those transfers are encrypted in transit and governed by the providers' own terms. Cedar retains no Google user data beyond what a requested task requires.
Retention and deletion
Cedar stores derived working state — labels applied, items triaged, log entries — on the operator's own hardware. Authorization can be revoked at any time from the Google Account permissions page, which immediately ends all access. Local data is deleted on request.
Compliance
Cedar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
